Industrial
The industrial sector is a key area of business for us and one within which we believe we have developed an unrivalled experience. We undertake projects for our industrial clients from each of our offices and tend to be engaged as both project manager and lead designers. Often we engage the other professional disciplines required for a project, providing our clients with single point contracts whereby we manage all aspects of the design and procurement on their behalf.
In particular, we have been and remain heavily involved in the brewing and distilling industries. We have recently designed and managed the construction of new whisky bottling plants for French drinks giant La Martiniquaise and also Whyte and Mackay, the first of such large scale investments in central Scotland for several years.
Our industrial teams are also involved in alternative energy projects. We have recently concluded the civils and infrastructure design for a series of bioenergy plants, designed to provide sustainable heating systems for schools and hotels. We consider this to be a growing sector.
